Privacy Policy
A plain-English explanation of what this extension does and doesn't do with your data — no legal jargon.

AOverview
TikTok Mass Unfollow ("the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps you bulk-unfollow accounts on TikTok. It is built to do exactly one job, entirely inside your own browser, and to collect as little as possible while doing it.
There is no company account to sign up for, no server that stores your TikTok activity, and no analytics tracking your behavior across the web.
BWhat we collect — and what we don't
We do not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your TikTok password or login credentials
- The list of accounts you follow, unfollow, or export
- Your browsing history outside of tiktok.com
- Any analytics, fingerprinting, or advertising identifiers
The only information stored is kept locally in your own browser (via Chrome's built-in storage) and never leaves your device: your chosen settings (removal speed, cooldown preference, protected accounts list), your daily free-usage counter, and — only if you purchase Pro — your license key and the email address Gumroad returns when verifying it.
CPermissions, explained
Chrome requires every extension to disclose the permissions it needs. Here is exactly why each one is used:
- storage — to save your settings and daily usage count locally, so they're remembered between sessions.
- cookies (tiktok.com only) — to read the security token TikTok itself requires to process an unfollow request, exactly as your browser already does when you click Unfollow manually.
- tabs — to open your TikTok profile tab and detect when it has finished loading.
- scripting — to run the removal logic on the TikTok page you're already viewing, and nowhere else.
- power — to politely ask your computer not to suspend the tab while a long removal run is in progress, so it doesn't stall halfway through.
The extension only ever runs on tiktok.com. It has no access to any other site you visit.
DThird-party services
The only third party involved is Gumroad, which handles Pro purchases and license verification. When you activate a Pro license, your license key is sent to Gumroad's servers to confirm it's valid — that request is between your browser and Gumroad directly. We never see your payment details; Gumroad handles all billing. Their own practices are covered by the Gumroad Privacy Policy.
EData retention & deletion
Because everything is stored locally on your own device, deleting it is entirely in your hands: uninstalling the extension, or clearing your browser's extension storage, permanently removes every setting and record it ever kept. There is no remote copy to separately request the deletion of.
FChildren's privacy
This extension is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the minimum age required to hold a TikTok account in their country. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
GYour rights (UK, EU & US users)
Because we don't hold personal data on any server, there is generally nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf — it already lives only on your device. Where applicable under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or US state privacy laws (such as the CCPA), you still have the right to ask us questions about this policy, request clarification on what limited data Gumroad processes for a Pro purchase, or raise a concern at any time by emailing us below.
HChanges to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the "Last updated" date at the top of this section will change accordingly. We recommend checking back occasionally if you'd like to stay informed.
